Hosting events in Rome
Rome is several cities sharing a metro that does not cover them. Guests will not cross the river twice after work. Name the rione and the nearest metro, or they never leave the office.
Where the scene lives
- Trastevere and Testaccio: evening socials; loud, walkable, tourist-heavy weekends.
- San Lorenzo and Pigneto: student and creative weeknights.
- EUR: after-work corporate and startup talks with parking.
- Centro / Monti: small courtyards; cap early, write the entry buzzer on the page.
What works in Rome
- Aperitivo is 7–9 PM. Dinner formats start later; do not mix the two on one page.
- August ferie. Series pause; September reopenings fill if you remind.
- Metro closes early by US standards. Last-train note is not optional.
- Courtyard capacity is the limit. Neighbors complain; set a hard cap.
Rione in the title
“Talk in Rome” loses to “aperitivo in Testaccio.” Put the neighborhood in the H1 and keep walking directions on the page. Milan, and networking.
